Brothers in Bulgaria

I can tie almost anything to soccer.  Trust me.  Ask anyone i'm related to, and they'll tell you i'm a touch past overboard when it comes to the beautiful game.  That brings me to my point...my sister, her husband Jonathan, and their daughters Anna Grace, and Jonna Faith are moving to Bulgaria.  They're learning the language, the culture, and a few recipes as well.  My brother-in-law is a great chef!

You're coming to Bulgaria?
Throughout this whole process, its been fun for me to learn about Bulgaria and also to try to fill them in on the Bulgarian football scene.  Of course, the most famous Bulgarian footballer is Dimitov Berbatov, former Tottenham frontman who currently plies his trade with the London club Fulham.  And the story of Bulgaria's national team in the '94 World Cup is a great one.  For a country with very little success in the tournament, Bulgaria went on to beat reigning world champions Germany and earn fourth place in the cup!  Not to mention, Hristo 'the Dagger' Stoichkov (heralded as the greatest Bulgarian footballer of all time) won the Golden Boot with six goals.  But I digress...

They'll be moving to Svishtov, a smaller town in northern Bulgaria with tons of great history.  Svishtov is a university town, and when school is in session, the population is around 40,000.  The local football club is called Akademik Svishtov.  Founded in 1949, Akademik is currently in the Bulgarian third division and boasts a stadium with a capacity of 14,500.

Jonathan, Amy, Lydia, and Tim
Jonathan and Amy will be working with their friends, Tim and Lydia Autrey, who are planting a church in Svishtov.  It has taken them a while to get where they are in terms of preparing for their move.

Right now their family is in the middle of a BIG transition, so please pray for them, and especially for their daughter Anna Grace.  If you're interested in learning more about Bulgaria and what the Postlewaites will be doing when they arrive, here are some links to their agency's website:
